On Saturday, August 14, 2021, TMPC showed up to make the courts at the Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows available for future pickleball events. The club was able to attract 12 volunteers from our website and they, along with others numbering 21 in all, made it happen.

Paul Ricciardi, Paul Kocher, Sam Updike, Steve and Liz Brown and Lyle Mason all arrived at 8 AM to start measuring for the courts and snapping lines for the tapers to follow. When they arrived between 8:30 and  9 AM, Paula Cobb, Dave & Tammy Burke, Mark Weber, Alan Jordan, Judith Wasson, Dave Trudell, Chip Chadwick, Nick Barone, Pat Helman, Shannon Manning, Deborah McBride, Bobby Terai, and Kathy Updike worked like a well oiled machine to get the tape on the courts.

In addition to taping the eight courts, club members set up all ten of the nets in the storage room to insure they were in good shape. The work was completed by about 10:30 at which time several of the people stayed to play a couple of games on the newly taped courts.
