The City of Reno Summer Senior Games returns and Pickleball again leads the way!
This year’s tournament dates and scheduled matches are as follows:
Monday, August 22 Women’s Doubles All Levels
Tuesday, August 23 Mixed Doubles 3.5
Wednesday, August 24 Mixed Doubles 2.5, 3.0, 4.0+
Thursday, August 25 Men’s Doubles All Levels
Check-in and warm-ups begin at 8AM each day. Play begins at 9AM and is scheduled to conclude by 2:00 PM each day.
The location for this year’s tournament is the Reno Tennis Center located at 2601 Plumas
St., Reno, NV, 89509
Registration is now open! Go to Reno.Gov/SeniorGames to register online. Click on “Registration Packet” and follow prompts.
You can also register in person at Neil Road Recreation Center, 3925 Neil Road, Reno; Evelyn Mount, Northeast Recreation Center, 1301 Valley Road, Reno, NV or Teglia’s Paradise Park Activity Center, 2745 Elementary Drive, Reno, Nv.
Registration closes Friday, August 15 and all fees must be paid by this date.
The registration form is four pages long and it is important that you complete applicable information on all four pages.
Please register only after you have secured a playing partner as we will not be attempting to find
partners for you. The form you fill out will ask you for information about your partner such as name, skill level and contact information.
Alan Clark (alan.clark776@gmail.com) is the tournament coordinator for competitive brackets 3.5 and higher; Lyle Mason (papaly716@aol.com) is the tournament coordinator for recreational brackets 2.5 and 3.0. Please address any questions to the appropriate coordinator for your playing level.
You will need to bring your own drinks and snacks to stay hydrated and nourished. Seating and shade are limited at this facility, but there is plenty of room for folding chairs and portable canopies if you can bring them.
Once you register for the tournament your coordinator will be sending you additional information in the days leading up to the games.
In the meantime, practice your skills and be prepared for the excitement that always comes with the City of Reno Senior Games.
